High-quality brand in cultural tourism studies
The Liaoxi Geomancy Research Institute is committed to building a high-quality brand in cultural tourism studies, and has implemented three major initiatives to promote the development of cultural tourism in Xingguo, Jiangxi Province:
- High value: academic authority
Liaoxi Academy is a place where generations of national geomancers have studied and researched. Led by renowned teacher Zeng Zhihan, students examine the works of national geomancers from multiple perspectives and levels, appreciate the orthodox school of geomancy, comprehend the spiritual core of Yang Gong, systematically understand the basic concepts and operational methods of geomancy, and are taught on-site how to use a compass, apply the methods of judging Yin and Yang houses, and understand the basic principles of finding dragons and selecting auspicious spots. This condensed journey of traditional Chinese culture opens the door to orthodox geomancy for you.
II. High quality: product service
There are currently over 30 classic routes for the investigation of geomancy in Liaoxi, including those within Jiangxi Province and across the country. The route packages are quite mature, fully considering comprehensive factors such as yin and yang house types, terrain, and local customs. Combining geomancy with profound cultural elements, more extensive investigation routes will be launched in 2025. Meanwhile, the investigation team provides first-class accommodation, catering, and services for students, building a good platform for geomancy learning and exchange.
III. High cost-effectiveness: low investment, high return
An important means of transmitting Sanliao geomancy is through widespread dissemination, expanding the contact group, and conducting investigations on Liaoxi cultural tourism. Adhering to the principles of short time and low cost as key indicators, we aim to build a platform for ordinary sinology enthusiasts and professionals to fully engage with and comprehensively understand orthodox geomancy, guiding everyone to recognize the correct path of learning and avoid detours.

、

The Zeng’s Yang Gong Temple commemorates the geomancer pioneer Yang Junsong, also known as Zeng Wencan. Inside, there is a couplet evaluating Yang Gong written by Wen Tianxiang, which is extremely precious

Dunxu Hall: The ancestral hall of the Zeng family in Sanliao, personally selected by Yang Gong, features a large serpentine layout, embodying the comprehensive principles of the Three Yuan Feng Shui theory. It serves as a model for the selection and layout of family ancestral halls.

、

Wrapping stone
Upon first arriving at Sanliao, Zeng Wencan described it as follows: “In front, there is a golden plate and a jade seal; behind, there is a cool umbrella for shade. The descendants have been officials for generations.” Yang Junsong, on the other hand, believed that “in front, there is a compass that attracts stones; behind, there is a package to carry. The descendants have been carrying compasses for generations. However, to the south of Sanliao Village, the Tianma River flows eastward, and immortal guests pay homage to the central court. The descendants have been state advisors for generations.

Zeng’s Sand Hand, Tortoise and Snake Meeting, Lock Water Bridge, Shuikou Temple
The waterway sand is crucial to the success of geomancy works. The Zeng family’s sand technique, along with the village planning featuring turtle and snake water locks, saved the entire Zeng family’s fortune in Sanliao.

Eunuch’s Tomb
The Ming Dynasty eunuch who escorted the national teacher Zeng Congzheng’s coffin back to his hometown helped build the Zeng family’s sandy grave. After San Liao died of illness, the villagers were grateful for his kindness and buried him on the Zeng family’s sandy grave.

Tiger-shaped tomb
Classic cases of interior decoration in tombs, balancing Yin and Yang, with the elderly Yin matched with the elderly Yang, and the young Yin matched with the young Yang, resulting in exquisite practices such as brain transformation, eyebrow hanging, fetal breathing, shrimp whiskers, cicada wings, crab eyes, pursed lips, green dragon, and white tiger.

General Ancestral Hall of the Liao Family in Sanliao
Yang Gong personally selected the works, ordered the formation of the banner, and studied the Yin-Yang Water Technique of the Liao family.

Zeng Congzheng, the founding master of the Ming Dynasty, participated in the construction of the Forbidden City, the Temple of Heaven, the Ming Tombs, and the nine towns of the Great Wall. He personally selected the burial site and was buried in the ancient tombs of the Sanliao area.

Zhanggao Earth and Seven-Star Pond: Zhanggao Earth and Seven-Star Pond were created by the Ming master Liao Hou during the Hongwu period of the Ming Dynasty. They were built to dispel the evil energy of the mountain behind the Liao family’s residence in Sanliao. Zhanggao Earth was constructed to block the evil energy, followed by the creation of seven ponds to absorb it. The layout of the Seven-Star Pond mimics the orbit of the Big Dipper, and is planned through the interplay of the five elements to promote family prosperity. It is an outstanding geomancy work from ancient Chinese villages.
