There are divergent opinions about the life legend of Yang Junsong, the founder of Fengshui in southern Jiangxi. It is now compiled based on historical materials such as “Ganzhou Prefecture Chronicles” and “Three Lao Zeng Genealogies About Yang Gong’s Biography”.
Yang Junsong, whose name is Yi, is written as Shumao, and whose name is Xuanchi, was born in Douzhou (now Bafang Village, Zhenlong Town, Xinyi City, Guangdong) in Tang Dynasty. He was born in the eighth year of Dahe Tang (April 20, 834 AD 834) That is, the eighth day of the third month of the lunar calendar (Xushi), died in the third year of Guanghua of Tang Zhaozong (March 12, 900 AD, that is, the ninth day of the third lunar month).
Yang Junsong is a famous geomantic omen in the Tang Dynasty in my country, and the founder of the theory of geomorphology in southern Jiangxi in modern times. His father’s name is Yang Shuxian, and he has three sons, the eldest son Jun Yi, the second son Jun Bin, and the third son Jun Song. Yang Junsong was very clever in his childhood, studied poetry and books, and was able to see everything at a glance. Later, he was Tang Xizong’s state teacher, and the official to Jinziguanglu doctor, in charge of the geography of the spiritual platform. In the imperial court, Yang Junsong was sent to look after the celebrity Qiu Yanhan, who was under house arrest in the palace, and talked about it.
Guangmingzhong (880), when Yang Gong was forty-five years old, Huang Chao broke through the capital, and after the Huang Chao uprising broke through the capital, Yang Junsong took the opportunity to release Qiu Yanhan, then took refuge in Kunlun Mountain, and then went south with his friend Bu Zewei. In Wuchang, Hubei, he met Liao Luan, the governor of Ezhou, and arrived at Qianzhou (that is, Ganzhou, Jiangxi), where he lived in seclusion in the mountains and forests. He took what he learned in the official court to the people, and used Feng Shui to practice the world, helping the poor and the poor, helping others, making the poor rich, and blessing others, and they are all like gods. The people felt his merits and deeds, and respected him as “Gong Yang”, “Yang save the poor” or “Save the poor immortal”.
Zeng Wenyuan and Liao Yu (ie Liao Jinjing) are both direct descendants of Yang Gong’s Feng Shui family. In Qianzhou, Yang Gong and Zeng Wenyuan met in the Huangtan Temple in Chongxianli. When the two met, they talked about everything. They had a sense of hatred when they met each other. Zeng Wenyuan was fascinated by Yang Gong’s extraordinary feng shui knowledge, so he became Yang Gong’s first apprentice and followed Yang Gong day and night. , Exhausted the gift of the disciple. Later, he traveled with his teacher to search for dragons and veins in the mountains and rivers of China. Then Yang Junsong gave careful guidance, watched dragons with power, looked at acupoints with shapes, peaks with sand and water, both body and use. .
Yang Yunsong and Liao Yun met in piety. Liao Yu’s family inherited feng shui faculty, had good luck, and was young and energetic. At first, he refused to accept Yang Gong and repeatedly fought against him. Once, Huangpi Liao asked Yang Jiupin to locate a gatehouse. Liao Yu used a compass to fix the position in advance, and buried a copper coin to mark it underground. Gong Yang didn’t need a compass when he came here, he only used a bamboo pole to insert it into the ground, just hitting the square hole in the middle of the coin. Liao Yu was convinced, and worshipped Yang Gong as his teacher sincerely. Liao Yu originally lived in Zhongshanba, Ningdu. In order to follow Gong Yang in the morning and evening, he also moved to San Lao with his teacher. Then he obtained the secret book of his youth and became another master of Yang Gong. This story is implied in the couplet of “The bamboo stick is green, thousands of miles of rivers and mountains return to the stick, and the sky is a day in the starry concealed man.”
Later, the three masters and apprentices of Yang Gong settled in Sanliao Village (namely Lao Xi), Meijiao Township, Xingguo County, wrote books and taught art, built temples and tombs to help the world. All the three ancient Fengshui masters who have received the biography of Yang Gongzhen are all exquisite skills. Most of the ancient houses and tombs that Yang Gong and his descendants can determine are long-lasting. This is in many places in southern Jiangxi, Guangdong, Fujian, and Guangxi. There are records in the clan books of famous families. For thousands of years, the Fengshui culture of Sanliao Yanggong (that is, the Laoxi culture) has been passed down in Laoxi until now, and it has been passed down to the world and is famous all over the world.
According to legend, Yang Junsong was poisoned by Luling King Lu Guangchou of Qianzhou. He died in Qianzhou at the age of 67 and was buried in the eight immortals at Yaokouba, Yudu Hanxinxia, Qianzhou.
At that time, Lu Guangchou, who ruled Ganzhou at that time, hired Yang Gong’s apprentice to choose a base for him to build Ganzhou City, and then begged Yang Gong to choose a piece of “Emperor’s Land” for him. According to the “Ganzhou House Records”: Tang Capital Supervisor Yang Junsong avoided Yuqian, greeted Lu Guangchou, and gave him the emperor. Lu Sui reburied his mother. I asked again if there is still a place here? Said: Yes, a table with eighteen faces; said: Where is the emperor? Said: The emperor appears in every face. Lu feared that his surname was given, so he poisoned Yang. Yang Jue took his disciple Zeng Wen to go there, and asked about the name of the place. He once replied: Yaokou. Said: The medicine is dead. The hatred must be reported. Kid Zhizhi. It is said that King Lu had settled in the Moche Bay of Ganzhou and opened a well at the crossroads, and he would be the emperor for all generations. Zeng Yue: What is it? Said: Mochewan An Duan, singles Lu Wang back, the crossroads opened a well, Lu Wang hangs his neck, and Lu Guo hangs his back with unbearable pain and hangs to death. After the death of Yang Gong, Zeng Wenyuan returned to Ganzhou to persuade Luwang City’s Mochewan Anshuidui and Shizijie to sink wells, breaking the “Emperor Qi” of Ganzhou, stopping Lu Guangchou, and then leaving for Jiangxi Wanzai. Xishan County lives in seclusion.
The classic works of Yang Gong’s Fengshui are highly respected by the scholars of Yi Xue Feng Shui in the past dynasties, and have a high historical status in the Yi Xue Feng Shui circles. Yang Gong’s feng shui works include “The Suspicious Dragon Sutra”, “The Sutra of Shaking Dragon”, “Li Zhu Fu”, “Black Capsule Sutra”, “Thirty Six Dragons”, “Qing Nang Olympic Language”, “One Millet”, “Du Tian Bao Zhao Jing”, “Tian Yuan Wu Tu Jing”, “Burial Method and Inverted Rod”, “Tian Jade Scripture·Internal Chuan”, “Tian Jade Scripture · External Compilation”, “Long Mai Jing”, “Twenty Four Mountains” , “Picture Clip Picture”, “Four Acupoints Method”, “Pulling Sand Diagram”, “Fetal Abdominal Sutra”, “Wanglong Sutra”, “Twelve Staff Method”, “Diamond Diamond”, “Jade Ruler Sutra”, “Four Acupoints” Law and so on. This provided detailed written materials and physical heritage for future generations to study Yang Gong Fengshui.
Because Yang Gong’s Fengshui pays attention to the situation of high mountains, it is also called the “Situation Faction” or the “Southern Jiangxi Faction.” It is the birthplace of the Fengshui culture (Liaoxi culture) of the situational faction in southern Jiangxi, China.
